Located in our Newport Beach, California office, the Associate, Technology will be part of the Technology team, reporting directly to the Associate Director, Technology.
The Associate, Technology will serve as a primary point of contact for technology support across the organization, ensuring the smooth operation, security, and performance of BKM’s technology systems. This is a hands-on role that blends IT helpdesk support, systems administration, and cybersecurity work. The ideal candidate is resourceful, customer-service oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment. This is a 100% in-office position.
Job Essentials
This person’s key responsibilities will be as follows (including but not limited to):
- Serve as the first point of contact for internal IT support, managing requests through the helpdesk and providing timely, professional assistance to employees both in-office and remotely across BKM’s regional locations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues across both Windows and macOS environments.
- Administer and support Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and security policies in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
- Support and maintain hardware inventory, device setup, and user onboarding/offboarding processes.
- Assist with documentation of procedures, systems, and configurations to ensure consistency and transparency across the team.
- Contribute to ongoing technology projects, including cybersecurity, infrastructure and process improvement initiatives.
The Qualifiers
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred).
- 1–4 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and Windows-based systems.
- Familiarity with Intune, SharePoint, and Teams management a plus.
- Experience supporting both Windows and macOS users.
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver solutions under pressure.
- Strategic, analytical thinker with strong customer-service orientation.
